To research security issues through science & technology for exploring the cause of peace and human welfare

“Our scientific power has outrun our spiritual power. We have guided missiles and misguided men” (Martin Luther King) expresses the fundamental agenda of science, technology and human being. Ikegami Lab. examines hard security issues such as military technology, nuclear security and technology transfer, while being sincerely committed to the cause of peace, conflict prevention, and confidence building. We are actively developing academic collaboration with Uppsala University Department of Earth Science in both research and education to explore the security issue of energy and resources.
